Responsibilities Overview:

  • Develop technical approaches for subsurface investigation.
  • Lead project teams to develop and implement multi-discipline solutions for soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor remediation projects, using in-situ and ex-situ technologies.
  • Establish work procedures/sequences and develop schedules, budgets/costs, and staffing requirements.
  • Lead and direct preparation of contract/design drawings, specifications, and bid documents for environmental remediation projects.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractor work activities.
  • Efficient time utilization with an emphasis on detail.
  • Review ongoing remediation to optimize performance of existing remediation systems or recommend alternative strategies.
  • Participate in marketing efforts including proposal development (writing, scope and fee negotiation), interview participation and presentations.

This position is located onsite at our office in Milwaukee, with some travel to client and project sites within the Greater Milwaukee / Southeastern WI area.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in Engineering.
  • P.E. designation strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated professional on-the-job experience planning, designing, and implementing site investigations, feasibility studies, pilot scale studies, soil and groundwater remedial actions using environmental engineering design concepts.
  • Understanding of CERCLA regulations, RCRA regulations, TSCA regulations, and applicable Wisconsin regulations (including ch NR 500 and 700 series) helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective proactive written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders including clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Active problem-solving skills.
  • A desire to mentor and coach developing project and staff engineers-in-training.
