Overview:The Gen AI Prompt Engineer will work closely with Gallagher Bassetts Product Development and AI team to accomplish the following objectives:
- Develop and enhance the capabilities of our AI language model, specifically focusing on the generation of high-quality and contextually relevant prompts.
- Work closely with business and analytics team to ensure that our AI system can effectively understand and respond to user inputs, providing accurate and meaningful outputs.
- Improve the quality and performance of the prompts and the AI systems, using data-driven and feedback-based approaches.
- Create and test prompts that can elicit the best responses from AI systems, leading to build of AI solutions that are reliable, user-friendly, and impactful.
- Innovate and explore new technologies and domains and expand our AI capabilities and offerings.
As a prompt engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Design and implement algorithms and models to improve the quality and diversity of prompts generated for our AI system.
- Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of the prompt generation capabilities, identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions.
- Work closely with the analytics and product team to integrate prompt generation algorithms into our AI system, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand the requirements and use cases of prompt generation and translate them into technical specifications.
- Stay up to date with the latest research papers, industry trends, and best practices in AI language models, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance our prompt generation capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the overall improvement of the AI system's architecture and codebase.
- Document and communicate technical concepts, algorithms, and methodologies to both technical and non-technical team members, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Analyze the requirements and specifications of business users and the AI systems, and understand their goals and expectations.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, linguistics, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in AI and analytics with at least one year of experience in creating and testing prompts for AI systems, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and with natural language processing and generation libraries and frameworks, such as OpenAI, etc. with experience in developing and deploying AI models and prompts.
- Proficiency in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data augmentation techniques for NLP tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to complex AI challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
