About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at RTC. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for engineering projects from approved concepts to production assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple large-scale projects autonomously or simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, assembly drawings, project specifications, and bills of material, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
  • Provide technical information and expertise to manufacturing and production teams, ensuring seamless design-to-production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial design, vendors, and production resources, to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documents, including BOMs and part number assignments, to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
  • Work closely with downstream departments to determine the most efficient assembly, shipping, and installation scenarios.
  • Stay up-to-date with current manufacturing fabrication and technology trends, attending trade shows and seminars as needed.
Requirements
  • 4-7 years of relevant engineering experience, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes, including wood, sheet metal, weldments, and plastics.
  • Understanding of methods and techniques of dimensions and tolerance.
  • Experience with POP, retail fixture design, and interior architecture a plus.
