BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated General Clerk for an opportunity in Cincinnati, OH 45202

Position Title: General Clerk

Location: Cincinnati, OH 45202
Anticipated Start Date: 8/12/2024

Expected Duration: 01 Month Contract
Pay Range: $15.00 - 17.00/ Hour

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Description:

  • Performs simple, routine and/or repetitive clerical functions according to standard procedures or instructions. Sorts and files correspondence, cards, invoices, receipts and other records in alphabetic or numerical order or according to subject matter and may retrieve archived files.
  • Processes paperwork by gathering and verifying data and transferring into a standard format. Generates correspondence and routine reports. Posts to and extracts data from records and files. Stamps, sorts and distributes department mail. Photocopies and proofreads documents. May verify and process documents, bills, invoices and vouchers. May order and maintain department's supply inventory. May respond to routine customer inquiries.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and either answers routine questions or directs the caller to the appropriate resource. May perform other clerical duties as directed.
  • This role will be dedicated to scanning office files from cabinets into our network. Where physical documents are determined to be retained, general account inventories will be created using Excel. Retained folders matching the inventory list will be boxed up and sent to Iron Mountain. Office assistance in helping the team prepare to move to another location.
  • General office support - opening mail, scanning, basic computer data entry skills, etc. Assistance with document scanning project.
  • The ideal candidate must be willing and able to move files to a printer/scanner, pack/move boxes in the file room that will be moved offsite by Iron Mountain, move documents from the room to a secure shredder bin, and handle confidential tax information.
