Location: Remote (Sacramento, CA / Long Beach, CA)

*** Duration: 6+ months

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming HR cases, via calls, chat, and service-service requiring significant, HR Generalist knowledge and understanding a wide variety of HR processes, policies, and technical procedures such as questions pertaining to benefits, compensation, wellness programs, year-end performance review, safety, security, and leave of absence.
  • Be responsible for managing the cases with the utmost care, quality, and attention to detail, all while providing accurate information while enhancing the employees experience with HR: Connect.
  • Support daily/weekly operational processes and audits such as (not all inclusive) New Hire Orientation facilitation, Retiree Health processes, HRIS system transactions, Health Sanctions, and Worker’s Compensation.
  • Partner with the various Center of Excellence (COEs) teams to find resolution to HR inquiries/issues that are outside of the scope of support/knowledge base.
  • Be a team player – work closely with peers on case resolution through thought partnership and guidance.

Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables):

  • Minimum 1-2 years HR entry-level experience including HRIS data entry and daily phone/chat experience with employees.
  • Strong Work Ethic -takes ownership, resourceful, self-sufficient, learns fast; Receives feedback well and seeks it as well; excellent verbal and written communication; inquisitive, uses good judgment and can work with employees at all levels.
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams

Preferred Skills (nice to have)

  • Oracle HCM experience and Service Now Case Management (or similar modules)
  • Passion for HR. Possesses HR knowledge – extending to SHRM CP

Education Requirements: High School diploma.

Software Skills Required: MS Word and Excel
