Job Responsibilities

· Create instrument list using P&IDs · Define instrument specifications based on application requirements · Obtain quotes for instruments and electrical equipment for hazardous and non-hazardous environments · Create/approve data sheets · Develop electrical schematics and drawings · Proficient at reading area classification drawings · Review/approve third party electrical and panel/cabinet layout & design drawings · Ability to troubleshoot electrical/instrument assemblies/sub-assemblies · Ability to provide technical support to technicians · Provide support during installation and commissioning · Assess HSE risks and provide recommendations for safe design and operation · Interface with R&D, installation, operations, and third-party personnel for project support · Maintain records of all conceptual design work, “as-built”

Minimum requirements

· Electrical Engineer degree or equivalent · 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience · Troubleshooting and testing experience · Experience with AutoCAD, with the ability to develop, review and maintain electrical drawings (One-line, elevation, loops, PLC) · Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification · Understanding of relevant electrical codes, including NFPA 70 & 70E · Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation · Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation
