We are seeking a seasoned HR Generalist to join our dedicated team.
The HR Generalist provides HR support across a broad range of functions, with a focus on benefits administration, workers' compensation, leave management, payroll, and employee relations. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, supporting employee engagement, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist will also play a key role in planning and scheduling HR activities throughout the year, in alignment with the organization's cyclical needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits, including 401K enrollment, health benefits renewals, and benefit contract reviews.
  • Workers' Compensation: Manage claims (OSHA), coordinate with insurance providers, and ensure compliance with state laws.
  • Leave Management: Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, and manage leave requests.
  • Payroll: Process payroll, manage discrepancies, and oversee benefit changes and PTO balances.
  • Employee Relations: Address conflict resolution, employee counseling, grievances, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage job postings, interview coordination, new hire orientation, and offboarding processes.
  • Compliance and Legal: Ensure compliance with labor laws, manage DOT compliance, and oversee company drug testing programs.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, track employee progress, and conduct educational programs.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture: Conduct surveys and promote a positive company culture.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • ADP payroll experience preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, compliance regulations, and licensing/filing with state governing bodies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an intermediate level of experience in Excel.
  • Excellent scheduling, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks and projects.
