Job Summary and Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for the supporting operational excellence in the DFW market of the Urgent Care Service line ensuring that strategic and operational goals of the company are met and that patients and their families receive value during their visits to UC centers. In addition, single point of accountability for the delivery of market projects to meet objectives; manages the day-to-day activities of assigned market projects; ensures the quality of the teams work; manages market projects of varying complexity

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Builds strategic alliances outside the organization to create business opportunities and execute business strategies.
  • Ensures synergies among people, process, and strategies to drive execution of business objectives.
  • Develops an organizational culture that leads to ongoing excellence and effective growth of the business while maintaining the highest integrity.
  • Ensures proper alignment with our physician and provider partners and corporate clients.
  • Builds strong employee engagement and improves staff retention.
  • Participates in the successful development and timely opening of new clinic locations.
  • Ensures Business Continuity in the assigned market/division for moderate complexity projects.
  • Strengthens organizational infrastructure and develops leadership pipeline to support future growth of capabilities within a market/division.
  • Clearly communicates HCA, PSG and UC Service Line Mission and Values.
  • Assures each UC market and clinic is in full compliance with HCA and PSG policies, regulations and legal requirements including ethics requirements and expectations.

Project Structuring:

  • Managing and communicating a clear vision of moderate complexity market projects objectives, and motivating the team members
  • Understanding and communicating the definition of completion criteria (what constitutes done)
  • Organizing the activities into manageable work packages for market and facility team members and determining an effective approach to completing the work
  • Resource coordination for corporate or market urgent care services deployments

Project Planning:

  • Ensuring that appropriate timing, resources, and sequencing of the work efforts are aligned to produce the desired result within a given period of time
  • Support Division COO in scheduling and prioritizing workload given resource constraints.
  • Managing relationships to accomplish the activities
  • Manage market and service line deployment project schedules to minimize intra-project resource conflict and facility activity conflict for moderate level complexity projects
  • Communication of market project schedule updates back to service line stakeholders and business partners

Project Management, Controlling & Reporting Status:

  • Maintaining assertiveness to achieve goals as quickly as possible
  • Monitoring project activities and reporting on status utilizing HCA standard reporting processes and tools
  • Identifying potential scope changes
  • Reviewing quality of work and managing integration of team members work
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues
  • Coaching those working on activities to clarify assignments and deliverables Project Close:
  • Documenting and analyzing lessons learned and sharing with others
  • Validating the completion of project documentation and relevant knowledge bases
  • Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree required

EXPERIENCE

  • In depth and up to date knowledge of healthcare administration typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelors degree, preferably a Masters degree, in a business or healthcare related discipline.
  • Must possess at least one to three years practice/healthcare management experience. Experience in Urgent Care or Ambulatory Care setting is preferred.
  • Must possess at least three to five years practice/healthcare relevant experience. Experience in Urgent Care or Ambulatory Care setting is preferred.
  • Must possess a current working knowledge of accrediting organizations, state and federal guidelines, regulations and standards
  • Must demonstrate expertise in negotiation, strategic planning, leading change, possess strong communication skills, business and financial acumen, negotiation skills and exhibit a focus on the patient experience.
  • Must be highly skilled in building relationships with providers and employees. Serves as a mentor to the leadership team and works to build organizational talent through talent assessment and leadership development.
