This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory responsibilities, within a non-profit environment. This position will oversee two accounting team members and report to the CFO. This position will manage monthly accounting activities, prepare and review financial statements and reports, assist with budget preparation, oversee grant management activities, and coordinate audits. A hybrid work schedule is offered with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote after initial training.

Director of Finance job responsibilities include: • Supervise and guide accounting staff. • Prepare budget in collaboration with CFO. • Review monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and cash flow history. • Prepare financial reports • Review and approve grant reports. • Coordinate all audits.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a non-profit environment required with supervisory experience preferred. • Proficiency with MS Office and accounting systems. • Strong knowledge of GAAP. • Budgeting and auditing experience. • Experience with grant accounting preferred. • Strong organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
