The Senior Financial Analyst coordinates, performs, and oversees the budgeting and financial activities related to department, including cost centers and departmental budgets as they relate to formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies and procedures. The Sr. Financial Analyst assists in financial studies and analysis regarding projected changes in revenues and expenditures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; ability to conceptualize and develop financial models for various projects taking into account the impact on all JHM areas; communication, presentation and reporting skills; ability to work with and get along with all types of employees (physicians, and other clinical personnel, administrative/financial personnel and central administration) Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field. MBA preferred. Knowledge: Skills: Coordinates and supports management’s annual operating and capital budget Perform duties in support of producing productivity reports and performance improvement Supports the finance leadership, in analyzing hospital results of operations and financial position and recommending areas of improvement. Generates routine financial and statistics reports. Analyzes actual performance; compares it with established budgets, plans, and standards; reports and interprets the results for all levels of management. Facilitates timely communication of financial reports from Finance to all levels of management. Performs statistical and financial analysis of data extracted from various internal sources. Performs special projects and duties as assigned, including research, forecasting and exploring viable alternatives. Maintains database of hospital utilization statistics for labor, and data mining purposes Required Licensure Certification, etc. CPA preferred.
