Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is in search of a Principal Finance Analyst / Senior Principal Finance Analyst to contribute to our team of high-performing, diverse professionals.

This role will be based at various locations, supporting the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) Financial Planning and Reporting Organization.


Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the forecasting process with a focus on precision and reliability.

- Conduct economic analysis and research on topics such as return rates, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial comparisons.

- Accountable for monthly forecasts and updates concerning income statements, awards, and backlog.
- Prepare monthly rolling forecast deliverables and variance reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial deliverables related to quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC).
- Develop the Division EAC scorecard report.
- Validate that profit plans align with quarterly EACs and address discrepancies and necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and confirm backlog adjustments to ensure total division backlog accuracy.
- Lead annual reviews and validations of closed program backlogs.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes to improve efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Finance Analyst:

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in financial analysis or related fields, or a Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Proficiency with SAP HANA or SAP S/4 Hana.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including Macros, Pivot tables, and V-Lookups).
- Capability to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance; US citizenship is required.
Senior

Principal Finance Analyst:

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in financial analysis or related fields, or a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Proficiency with SAP HANA or SAP S/4 Hana.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including Macros, Pivot tables, and V-Lookups).
- Capability to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance; US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret level security clearance.

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in financial analysis or related fields, or a Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Familiarity with Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX).
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of EVMS/FAR/DFARS.

Salary Range:
$84,600 - $157,300


The salary range above serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
