Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor | Remote

Our client is seeking to add a Workers Compensation Claims Supervisor to their Northeast Region. This person would be responsible for overseeing a team of (5) Workers Compensation Claims Examiners handling lost time and medical only claims from inception to close. This includes managing the assignment of losses to claims staff and providing technical direction and ongoing guidance through effective diary management. Qualified candidates must possess a strong knowledge in New England Workers Compensation Law and hold an active adjusters license. Ideally the candidate would reside in the Northeast region (CT, MA, RI, VT, or ME).

  • Oversee Lost Time and Medical Only claims throughout the New England region.
  • Select, train, coach and mentor Workers Compensation Claims personnel.
  • Plan staff responsibilities and direct activities, utilizing staff resources effectively to meet department goals in accordance with approved plans and budgets.
  • ?Ensure appropriate case reserves consistent with company guidelines.
  • Extend settlement authority on claims exceeding adjuster's granted authority.
  • Develop, recommend and implement short range objectives consistent with company business goals, guidelines and programs.
  • Recognize and analyze trends across the claims portfolio at the adjuster, unit and account levels.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Workers Compensation claims experience.
  • 2+ years of Workers Compensation Claims Supervisory experience
  • Must be well versed in CT, MA, NH, or RI Workers Compensation Law.
  • Active adjusters license is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, mentoring and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Salary/Benefits:
