Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer / Sr. Principal Quality Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Palmdale, CA , with expected travel domestic/international as required. Responsible for the implementation of Mission Assurance principles across the program to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and NG requirements
* Support coordination and implementation of all engineering activities, ensuring all individual IPT plans are sufficient quality, completeness, and detail (technical, cost, schedule)
* Investigates quality problems, issues, and failures through root cause investigation and corrective action implementation
* Program Mission Assurance Managers, Integrated Project Team Leads, and representatives from Systems Engineering Integration Team
* Performs Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and performs Audits to strengthen overall enterprise best practices
* Support and provide guidance for all program engineering process from project inception to project completion
* Heavy background/knowledge in System Test and Ground/Flight Operations
Principal Quality Engineer:
- BS degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, systems, aerospace) with 5 years experience, MS degree with 3 years experience, or Ph D with 0 years experience
- Strong understanding and broad application of engineering systems, and Do D Mil specs and standards
- Extensive experience with leading process improvement projects
- Active US Do D Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret) and ability to obtain program access
- Active Passport
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time

Principal Quality Engineer:

Active Top Secret Security Clearance with program access
