About the Opportunity Hartford Healthcare (HHC) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its Cardiology Critical Care team. The successful candidate will provide holistic and evidence-based care to critically ill patients admitted to the Cardiology Intensive Care Unit and Cardiology Step-Down Unit. Key Responsibilities: Provide routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients. Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician. Requirements: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible). Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. New graduates welcome to apply. Preferred: 1+ years' experience in a critical care/cardiology setting.
