The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multifamily housing properties, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance and trends. Coordinate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions and compliance with lease agreements. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes for individual properties and the overall portfolio. Review property-level financial reports and analyze operating expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets and property tax assessments. Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with reporting and tax requirements. Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance feedback.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred. 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting roles, preferably in the real estate industry with a focus on multifamily housing. Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles, including GAAP, CAM reconciliations, and lease accounting. Experience with property management accounting Yardi preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both orally and in writing. Proven leadership ability with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams. Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of financial management.
