The Automation and Controls Management Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems and controls within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing environments, strong expertise in SQL and ERP systems, and proficiency with Aveva Wonderware and Higher Data Flow management. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in PLCs and MES platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for manufacturing processes.
  • Manage and optimize SQL databases to support manufacturing operations.
  • Integrate and maintain ERP systems to streamline inventory transfer and data flow processes.
  • Utilize Aveva Wonderware for SCADA and HMI development and maintenance.
  • Ensure efficient data flow and inventory transfer within the manufacturing environment.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs to support automated systems.
  • Implement and support MES platforms such as Ignition or similar systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation and control technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with Aveva Wonderware.
  • 5+ years of experience with Higher Data Flow, inventory transfer, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience with PLCs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience with Java.
  • 5+ years of experience with MES or similar platforms like Ignition.
