Position Requirements Must be at least 25 years of age. Have current criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community. Able to communicate written and orally in English. Passed post offer health physical and drug screen. TB test results within 7 days of hire and a health screen within 30 days of hire (when transferring test results TB or health screen will not be older than 6 months) Within 30 days of hire be certified in CPR and First Aid High School diploma or equivalent. Have one year experience in conducting group activities and events. Current Class B drivers’ license, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Activity Director Certification preferred. This position provides for a high level of customer service to residents, team members and professionals. This is

accomplished through promoting Westmont Living’s Service Promise and Service Standards. This position is

responsible for planning, directing, organizing, conducting and evaluating events and planned Lifestyle services to

promote rich living experiences for and to meet the varied needs and interests of residents living within the

community.

Resident Satisfaction Events and Activities shall promote and address the outcomes of “Successful Aging” philosophy to includephysical and mental stimulation, spiritual needs, social engagement and lifelong learning. Encourage resident participation to develop and maintain residents’ fullest potential through plannedactivities Interview new and existing residents to find their interests. Document and develop programs that appealto all residents. Educate residents through classes or guest speakers in such subjects as travel, health, current events, andother self-help topics Arrange for religious services in the community and/or coordinate transportation Coordinate weekly schedules for outings to doctors, banking and shopping Coordinate and conduct outside activities including scenic drives, luncheon and dinner outings,performing arts and cultural exhibits, etc. Offer physical exercise activities and group exercise programs designed to improve strength, balance andflexibility. Offer activities designed to maintain brain fitness including reading, cards/games, puzzles, Wii, and othermind-challenging games. Help to coordinate community special events open to families and friends Primary driver responsible for providing transportation for residents. Administration

Develop and publish a monthly activities calendar and newsletter. Supervise, manage, train, coach and counsel the lifestyle team. Manage and monitor department budget. Plans, directs and coordinates volunteer program. Develop and train a network of community andresident volunteers to assist in planning and preparation for activities and events. Routinely analyzes effectiveness and customer satisfaction of events and activities provided to ensure theactivities are meeting the needs of the residents. Attend resident council meeting (if invited by residents), document and provide follow up to issues andconcerns.
