Introduction:

MySBA is a whole-of-agency focus on understanding, improving and unifying customers’ experiences with SBA products, services, and technical assistance. Under MySBA and as a principal component of this contract, the agency will implement a Unified Experience Structure (UES) which will serve as the foundation for all SBA customer-facing programs.

Background:

The agency intends to prepare for the future by both purchasing and configuring commercial off-the-shelf products, by integrating with existing modern codebases, and by building replacements with modern technology.

Objectives:

· Lead and provide technical expertise in the design and development of a digital solution to enhance access to programs for small business owners.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a comprehensive technical architecture and implementation strategy for the project.

· Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the digital solution, considering the integration of various systems and data layers.

· Oversee the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies and tools to support the project's objectives.

· Provide guidance and support to the development team in implementing the technical architecture and best practices.

· Coordinates design decisions and focuses on the overall architecture of the solution

Required:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Technical Architect, leading complex IT projects.

· Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable and secure technical architectures for large-scale projects.

· Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and experience with agile practices.

· Proficiency in evaluating and selecting technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project requirements.

· Demonstrated experience in integrating disparate systems and data layers to achieve seamless functionality.

· Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).

Highly Preferred:

· Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Experience in working on projects involving data mesh concepts and unification of program data.

· Experience with with CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce and their integration in front-facing operations for customer service.

· Experience with SSO solutions specifically Okta.

· Experience with data solutions like Denodo, MuleSoft.

· Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or relevant cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

· Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools for enhanced data-driven decision-making.

· Experience with AWS native solutions for development and prior experience with federal solution implementations involving Microservices, Python, Django, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, Serverless, and API Gateway.
