Aegis Aerospace is currently looking for a System Integrator for Lunar Landing System to join our team in Houston, TX.

Overview:

The purpose of this position is to perform system integration for the Human Landing System (HLS) Crew Compartment (CrewCo) office for future NASA lunar landing missions. The HLS CrewCo Office is tasked to provide insight and to collaborate with their providers throughout development of the integrated lander crew cabin systems to ensure the systems are certified safe for astronauts. Tasking includes coordinating CrewCo positions with discipline leads in order to provide insights to both CrewCo and providers as the design is developed. It also includes coordination of engagement in HLS milestone reviews, risk reviews, and verification reviews, along with representing CrewCo in technical integration meetings. The person will work at Johnson Space Center with a large team of System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) personnel across multiple NASA centers in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate CrewCo team engagement/participation in HLS milestone reviews, including coordination of team product review and comment tracking.
Coordinate CrewCo engagement in HLS risk management processes and engagement in associated reviews and meetings.
Develop and maintain process and approach for CrewCo engagement in HLS providers milestone reviews, adjudication reviews, hazard reviews and verification reviews.
Provide support to Technical Integration Managers by coordinating and integrating CrewCo stakeholder review of verification events against contract detailed verification objectives.
Perform technical system integration on behalf of CrewCo within HLS program by representing the team at key meetings and identifying needed follow up actions.
Provide inputs to system engineering integration plans, team discussions and planning products to support CrewCo overall system engineering activities.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

BS degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree with a minimum of 5 years applicable experience
Experience with NASA hardware and/or hardware coordination/integration (Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), system or subsystem)
Experience with NASA and/or commercial partner milestone reviews
Experience in system integration
Self-motivated and proactive in integrating/communicating with others without a lot of hands on direction. Ability to lead specific tasks when needed.
Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA centers
Ability to identify integration concerns and gaps in information and communicate concerns to leadership in a diplomatic and constructive manner
Ability to perform cross-program integration with multiple people for various purposes in parallel
Well-developed skills in both written and verbal communication, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
DESIRED:

Experience with risk management processes and reviews
Experience in developing NASA or NASA-related system engineering documentation
Experience with M2M Program or associated programs and projects
