Assists the Kitchen Manager in all aspects of food preparation, service and clean-up.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Works with Kitchen Manager to prepare and serve meals and snacks for Manville students and Judge Baker staff according to department guidelines and specifications.

+ Works with Kitchen Manager to prepare food for JBCC events and meetings according to department guidelines and specifications.

+ Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area, in compliance with all Department of Health regulations in all actions and procedures.

+ Stocks food and food related products according to department guidelines and specifications.

+ Works with Kitchen Manager to design and provide vocational training for Manville Students according to curriculum expectations and JBCC guidelines.

+ Verify status of daily functions through use of computer.

+ Complete Production records on a daily basis

+ Daily processing of laundry

+ Comply with health code regulations

Position Requirements **QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**

* 2 years in food service field

* Basic computer skills (i.e. email, internet and Microsoft Office)

* Service Safe Certification Preferred

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** (with or without accommodation)

* Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear and be capable of repetitive motion

* Position requires exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

* Work requires close visual acuity

* Position is subject to environmental conditions, activities occur both inside and outside

**SALARY AND HOURS**

Part time position, salary commensurate with experience.
