Essential Duties
  • Deliver on the Credit Union's promises in every service situation.
  • Drive to fulfill all strategies and goals of the credit union, with priority on Investment Services.
  • Assist the Financial Advisor with member servicing, process efficiencies, and sales to create high levels of productivity.
  • Generate revenue by cultivating and sustaining member relationships that maximize satisfaction, retention and loyalty.
  • Build credit union staff awareness and trust in investment products to ensure a constant stream of referrals.
Duties and Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by this position.It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of this position.Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
  • Provide administrative support to the Financial Advisor including managing appointments and calendars, coordinate and manage correspondence (email, mail, telephone, in-person requests, etc.), and monitoring their office for any marketing and compliance material needs.
  • Review and process all submitted paperwork; confirm for accuracy and completeness before submission. Follow up with Financial Advisor, member, or LPL to obtain any necessary documentation. Maintain member files to meet compliance requirements.
  • Be available as a resource to members and the credit union team. Assist with all member servicing while cultivating those relationships, manage incoming referrals and provide the Financial Advisor with thorough member information, and generate staff interest and confidence in Members First Investment Services through daily interaction.
  • Coordinate and schedule educational training opportunities for internal credit union teams. Be a presence within branches and departments to build awareness of investment services products and build deeper member relationships.
  • Provide and maintain member marketing lists from Data Intelligence, ensuring that information is current, accurate and per the request of the Financial Advisor or Marketing Department. Coordinate mailings of newsletters, surveys, annual review letters, and appointment information forms with Marketing if necessary.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisor and credit union departments to assist in executing the marketing plan including, coordinating seminars, member appreciation events, and community event participation/networking.
  • Ensures that the Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained throughout lending and business related transactions with members. If appropriate, handles and diffuses escalated member, vendor, business or dealer partner related concerns.
  • Be a resource for vendors of choice as needed.
  • Suggest total solutions to members to achieve regular and consistent sales results that meet or exceed minimum standards. Maximize the benefits of matching credit union products with investment and insurance products while focusing on each member's individual needs.
  • Ensure personal involvement in continuous learning opportunities including the sales process, credit union and managed investment and insurance products, technology and compliance.

Work Environment
  • Hybrid work environment available based on the needs of the department.
  • Must maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Routinely clean and disinfect work areas (i.e. teller stations, desk surfaces, phones, electronic equipment).
    • Wipe down teller windows and desk surfaces after every Member and Team Member interaction. If limited or no Member interactions, this practice is to be completed a minimum of twice a day.
    • Wipe down door handles, drive thru canisters, desks, telephones, areas that are often touched by members or team members coming in frequently.
  • Sanitize shared spaces such as break rooms, whiteboards, and meeting tables after every use.
  • Protect the confidentiality of credit union staff and members by locking door or removing items from desk/workstation when away.
Education and Experience
  • Preferred but not required to have a degree in Business, Marketing or Finance or equivalent trade off in professional work experience.
  • One year of experience within the financial services industry in a position with extensive member interaction.
  • Willingness to obtain State life, health, disability and variable license.
  • Working knowledge of brokerage and insurance products, terms, functions, suitability, and compliance aspects.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales activity and sales results on a consistent basis.
  • Must possess excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Outgoing personality with ability to offer creative ideas
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, , PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Advanced computer skills in Salesforce, Symitar and/or Workspace a plus.
