Acer America is seeking a CPFR Analyst (Demand Planner) that will work closely with the North American Retail sales team. This position is a customer-facing role who will be responsible for forecasting, planning and allocations for US retailers. Review and monitor sales trends, demand, and channel inventory to develop a collaborative forecast plan between Acer and the US retail accounts for on-time delivery of customer orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for retail customer buyers and/or inventory planners where you will represent Acer to drive supply chain activities, help meet customer in-stock goals, inventory targets, overall sales goals and maintenance of customer fill rates.
  • Conduct weekly conference call with customers to review sell through performance, channel inventory and future demand/supply. Create healthy dialogue for a consensus forecast plan to include Acer’s supply commitment, inventory surplus or shortages.
  • Create and build forecasting models to help maintain the customer’s forecasts accuracy, predictable of inventory needs, and analyze product allocation to determine correct inventory flow of products.
  • Help build a more accurate baseline and promotional customer forecasts that will used for internal planning.
  • Work with Sales Operations to maintain and upload product data for set-up, retrieve Obtain and Process customer purchase orders for on-time delivery.
  • Support Account Manager to identify sales opportunities and/or possible decommit of forecast.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for forecasting and planning process improvement by presenting ideas and recommendations to management, and continuously looking for ways to improve the overall CPFR process.
  • Be able to maximize your analytics to build a case for influencing internal and external customer behavior in support of your forecast.
  • Meet individual and team quarterly KPIs as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree preferred but can be substituted with work experience.
  • Experience of supply chain management in CPFR area or relevant analyst, forecasting, and/or planning experience with at least 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer communication skills: tailoring the message to the audience and the ability to develop professional business relationships.
  • Excellent data management, analytical and troubleshooting skills while being able to communicate to all levels are required.
  • Computer savvy with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel (e.g., pivot tables, macro, v-look ups) and customer-specific data systems is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with cross functional teams within the company. Must be a team player.
  • Understanding of Retail and Consumer Electronics industry and overall supply chain operations preferred.
  • Experience working within Wal-Mart supply chain, demand planning and forecasting operations strongly preferred.
  • Must have positive, can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box and adaptable to change at any time.
  • Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills and be detail oriented and ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines on time.
  • Can work independently with limited directions and can plan, practice good judgement making business decisions for the benefit of both the customer and Acer.
