Overview (Scope of Role)
The
Senior Account Manager
will be responsible in promoting Trinseo's PMMA Resins product line with key customers in the United States. This individual will represent Trinseo's interest at all levels and take a leading role in negotiating commercial agreements and contract conclusion.
The Senior Account Manager will develop an account strategy for value growth and win-win, long term partnership. This role will act as focal point internally working closely with technical, operational and all other account management related to ensure that business targets are met while supporting external corporate development work in United States at times. The role will have a focus in either building/construction or lighting clients.
This role will require 40-50% travel across the United States to customers and internal facilities.
Responsibilities
Key Account management
Develop and build relationships with customer's key stakeholders
Meet top line deliverables (volume/margin), track and report monthly
Negotiate - with support of management - commercial agreements and contracts conclusions
Act as primary focal point for Trinseo: own forecasting and demand cycle, solve customer operational issues, escalate when needed.
Grow business value through technical development projects and regional growth expansion
Facilitate Technical service and support
Facilitate Customer Development Activities (CDA) for assigned customers
Develop and commercialize new product technology in close cooperation with other functions (product development, process research, analytical, manufacturing, sales, marketing)
Develop and provide technical training on products and applications internally and externally. Active participation in sharing and leveraging knowledge
Qualifications
Bachelor degree; ideally in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or related discipline
10 years in Sales and Account management in material supply within the Chemical manufacturing industry
Technical background in Plastics and Polymers industry is strongly preferred
Familiarity with Building/Construction or Lighting industries is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work independently and leading through influence.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
Proficiency with PC software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, experimental design software).
