Our client is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their innovative Digital Delivery Team. This team is at the forefront of leveraging the latest technologies in open source and the Azure cloud to develop cutting-edge member and team member experiences. Their work includes engineering modern web applications to implement a complete UI and microservices for multi-device, multi-platform mobile and desktop web applications.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be integral to our clients team in a Scrum environment. Your main responsibilities will include testing software applications and features using test suites and scripts, performing anomaly reporting, software analysis, and developing automated software test packages across various technologies. You will also perform functional and performance testing, provide application support, and collaborate with other divisions, including the ISD Cloud team.

Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and remediate issues in testing and deployment environments.Automate acceptance criteria alongside developers and business stakeholders.Engage with agile development methodologies and participate actively in Sprint/Scrum sessions.Develop and execute test cases based on project documents, customer demands, and product objectives.Test complex API, web, and mobile applications interacting with database back-ends.Establish and manage test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms like Mobile, Desktop, and Web.Design and own end-to-end test strategies, build test plans, and implement test automation for applications of moderate to high complexity.Develop and execute manual test cases alongside automated scripts to identify issues.Advocate for improvements in automation engineering efforts to executive management.Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in SDET roles or hands-on development, with a strong focus on testing.At least 4 years of experience in software test automation, including framework creation and deployment.At least 2 years of mobile apps test automation experience in Android and/or iOS, as well as experience with Web and API automation.Proficiency in Java and strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, and cloud technologies, preferably Azure.Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Selenium.Familiarity with agile methodologies, TDD, BDD, and experience with testing frameworks and strategies.Hands-on experience in Selenium scripting, SQL querying, and utilizing cloud-hosted testing platforms like Perfecto.Top Skills:

Full Stack SDET with experience in both front-end and back-end automation testing.Hands-on development/coding experience, particularly in Java.Extensive experience with UI, API, and database automation testing.Knowledge of a wide variety of testing techniques, types, and the software testing life cycle (STLC) process.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 to $80/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
