Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity. The successful candidate will play a critical role in integrating the new CRD platform into our existing infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. This role requires deep expertise in Python, AWS, and Vue.js, and the ability to work on-site in downtown Boston three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CRD Integration: Lead the integration of the Charles River Development (CRD) platform with our existing systems, ensuring seamless data flow, functionality, and performance at scale.

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance software solutions using Python, AWS, and Vue.js. Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and implement cloud-based solutions on AWS to support the CRD platform. Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

  • Frontend Development: Develop user-friendly and responsive web interfaces using Vue.js, ensuring a seamless user experience for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and DevOps, to ensure the successful delivery of the CRD implementation. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and stand-ups.

  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the integration and performance of the CRD platform. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

  • On-Site Engagement: Collaborate with the team on-site in downtown Boston three days a week, ensuring effective communication and alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on Python, AWS, and front-end development using Vue.js. Experience with large-scale system integrations, preferably in the financial services or asset management industry.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
    • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, and CloudFormation.
    • Proficient in front-end development using Vue.js, including Vuex and Vue Router.
    • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • CRD Knowledge: Familiarity with the Charles River Development (CRD) platform and its integration within asset management environments is highly desirable.

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and optimize software performance in a large-scale, cloud-based environment.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
