Job Summary

Identifies, prioritizes, investigates, and reports field incidents that occur on Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. Ensures that incidents exceeding established warranty and quality targets are reported; reports potential safety issues and ensures that effective countermeasures are developed and implemented. Prepares technical repair information for field staff when countermeasure fixes are available.

Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Job Functions

  • Analyzes quality related field information including consumer surveys, warranty data, consumer affairs reports, field staff reports and technical hotline reports; identifies and prioritizes issues pending investigation and establishes action plans with guidance. Investigates incidents by analyzing available data, conducting surveys and collects dealer information, collects and tests incident parts, and prepares related reports.
  • Prepares field information and parts demand forecasts, establishes countermeasure parts repair procedures, maintains databases and participates in field studies. Maintains tracking system to monitor the countermeasure development progress.
  • Issues follow-up reports, conducts meetings and communicates with responsible parties to ensure countermeasures are being developed and are progressing on target.
  • Ensures vehicle incidents are reported within designated time frames, implements countermeasures. Resolves engineering issues, and maintains department tracking systems. Monitors all data for potential safety, or emissions related issues, elevates issues to management and supports any investigation request for management.
  • Supports other departments by providing technical information on assigned models/systems.
  • As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.


Minimum Qualifications

Job Knowledge and Skill:
Firm understanding of automotive technology and engineering practices, with a hands -on background in the automotive industry.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year professional-level experience in related engineering discipline.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.

Physical Requirements

Travel:
Up to 10-20% travel my be required both domestic and international.

Overtime: Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete job
