Annapolis Area Christian School is an independent, non-denominational Christian school serving Kindergarten through 12th grade students.

This is a non-exempt, full-time, 12-month (school year) position reporting directly to the Lower School Principal.

Duties:

  • Support the Lower School by maintaining office machines, obtaining supplies, tracking purchase orders, emergency planning, faci_lity use requests, coordinating calendars with other campuses and the church, organizing events, posting events on the main calendar and the Veracross calendar, and coordinating volunteers.
  • Support the Lower School Principal by handling routine tasks: screening calls and visitors, scheduling interviews for prospective students, typing letters and forms, and mailings.
  • Support teachers by arranging substitutes, making copies, typing and distributing documents, filing lesson plans and newsletters, organizing special luncheons, printing and distributing report cards and mid-terms, and the end-of-year check out process.
  • Support students by maintaining and updating student files, sending transcripts to other schools, organizing student pictures, coordinating annual testing, and assigning and updating classes in Veracross.
  • Trained as a Certified Medicine Technician in order to distribute properly approved medicines and care for ill or injured students.
Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of Administrative experience.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma, undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Compassionate, quick thinker that performs calmly under pressure.
  • Must be able to maintain Certified Medication Technician and CPR/ First aid training- training will be provided.
