Has the responsibility for the implementation, conformity and performance of the process at the respective plant / Management of Customer / Internal Complaints (Production Phase). Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, test and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component during either development or serial production depending specific role. Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. Manages the quality problem solving process (8D) towards the customer. Interact and serve as project lead with Production Quality Engineering, technicians, Warranty Engineering, Lab Technicians to solve and complete effective root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions. Serves as first customer contact in case of quality problems. Accesses regularly the different customer websites to identify potential quality or rating problems. Contributes actively to the reduction of failure costs like scrap, rework, and warranty. Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Prepares reports to communicate status and results of quality assurance activities. Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management. Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards. Stops production in case of a non-conformity. Is responsible for housekeeping and 5S in Quality areas. Responsible for all Quality related customer activities. Process owner for area related processes. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in an engineering field of study. Comparable experience applying statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data and evaluating current process and process changes. Experience leading and managing the quality solving process (8D) towards the customer. Experience leading projects for reducing or eliminating scrap, defects, reworks and warranty. Experience in presenting technical and project information to team members, management and customers.
