Deputy Manager - Project Procurement has the primary responsibility of drivingProject Procurement for VFD panel / Drive Localization initiative support transfer product. Other responsibilities include managing supplier contracts, segment project procurement, and interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics while supporting other business functions as required.Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Hands-on experience in project procurement in handling - Switchgear (ACB, MPCB, MCC, SFU), Fabrication Enclosure, VFD Panel/Drives, Cables, Magnetics, Fuse, Relay, and other electrical categories.Support presales/post-sales negotiation with vendors to improve order intake as well as improve profitability.Drive localization project initiatives with a solid understanding of category sourcing/supply base.Solid financial understanding (TCO – total cost of ownership) with the capability to perform both on a strategic planning level as well as execute defined long-term plans successfully.Hands-on experience in Switchgear Industry/Oil/Dry type transformer, Chokes, Passive filter/Active filter category handling in Drives applications.Keep liaison with Project Manager for the actual execution of projects and lessons learned to prepare future competitive tenders.Develop systemic checks to ensure there are no leakages in the system and periodically conduct audits and support external audits to ensure compliance.Monitor supplier performance to quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and working capital objectives.Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality problems with suppliers.Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.Ensure and promote compliance to Company and Danfoss Procurement Policy and procedures.Knowledge of Indian & International Electrical Standards IEEE/IEC/IPC/CPRI/UL/IS/SAE/ERDA certification.Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess the following:12-14 years of experience in a Category Management/buyer role working for a direct manufacturer (Control panel industry experience required/Electronics industry).A thorough knowledge of the legal aspects of procurement coupled with the ability to write effective supplier contracts.Very strong communication skills as well as solid experience in supplier negotiations.Strong supplier relations skills, strong negotiating skills, and thorough understanding of supplier market and key drivers.Highly structured and systematic, works proactively and result-oriented as well as willing and able to take initiative.Consistently delivers great performance.Possess good written and verbal communication skills.Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.Able to influence others & manage conflict.Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations.Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail.Danfoss – Engineering Tomorrow At Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.
