Site/Civil Project Manager Job Locations: US-NJ-Newark ID: 2023-3611 Category: Engineering Type: Regular Full-Time Overview ABOUT THE POSITION VHB's Northeast Region is seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, and effective Site / Civil Project Manager with 11+ years of land development experience in private sector real estate to join its growing Civil / Design practice in Northern, NJ, partnering with our New York City team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic organization and lead a growing team while working on exciting assignments throughout the region. Candidate would lead projects from start to finish, including initial scoping through design, permitting approvals, and construction phase services for a wide range of civil engineering projects. Responsibilities Manage small, medium, and large design efforts, working within a team of professionals to develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects. Responsible for monitoring and delivering the project financial performance. Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues and overall schedule. Develop new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions. Lead a design team through Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) approvals associated with new roadways, modifications to the City Map, Amended Drainage Plans, and Hydraulics Analyses. Prepare and review design drawings and specifications documenting the new building and associated site features. Supervise design team activities during construction administration and construction close-out.
