Job Type Full-timeDescriptionOverview:Responsible for obtaining patient's vital signs and rooming patients or seating patient in a waiting area for providers as appropriate, answering incoming phone calls, assist with checking in/out patients and other duties of the CCS I when needed, complete Coordination of Care letters, School Notes, and assist with the completion of FMLA paperwork, and other duties as needed.Main Responsibilities:The CCS II will work as a part of the clinic team to ensure that patients receive the best possible customer service. The CCS II will act as an assistant to providers as assigned.Master all tasks and responsibilities of CCS IOpening procedures (ensure cleanliness in common areas/offices, check restrooms and be prepared for the first patient 15 minutes prior to the appointment)Prepare all patient charts two days prior to the scheduled appointmentCall New Patients who have not completed their measuresCheck CSPMP for all adult patients and all new patients, the day priorObtain patient vitals (BP, Pulse, Respirations, Height & Weight)Medication Reconciliation performed prior to rooming patientsObtain and enter primary care physician, referral source and other provider for each patientCreate/Sign/Fax patient related documents (Release of Information, Referral Letters, Coordination of Care, etc.)Obtain signature for "Controlled Substance Agreement" from all patients or parent/guardian if prescribed a controlled substanceRegularly checking @rpsych e-mail throughout the dayForward medication concerns and refills and prior authorization requests to the appropriate staff.Closing procedures (ensure cleanliness throughout the provider offices and M.A. station, take out the trash throughout the offices, and ensure all doors are locked prior to leaving premises)Present appropriate, courteous customer service to all patients present or on the telephoneNOTICE: This job description does not imply that these are the only tasks to be performed by the employee occupying this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Minimum 1 year of relevant experience requiredExperience in an outpatient medical office requiredGraduation from an Accredited College, University, or trade school with a degree, license, or certificate in a relevant field preferredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredMust possess superior written and verbal communication skillsAbility speak, read, and write English fluently requiredMust demonstrate proficiency in the use of a Windows Computer and Microsoft office productsMust adhere to HIPAA and HIITECH guidelines at all timesSalary Description Hourly
