The ideal person for this job is a detail-oriented system administrator who thrives on helping the business and has a passion for finance and tech. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include integrating, configuring, and maintaining financial applications, ensuring system and data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other teams to optimize and scale our financial systems.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborates cross-functionally, using critical thinking and data-driven decisions to integrate financial systems with other business systems. Requires understanding and alignment on business processes and needs.
  • Completes setup, configuration, and maintenance of financial applications and integrations. Includes setup and maintenance of product and tax configurations across systems.
  • Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and enhancements to financial systems to ensure safety, scale, and fit.
  • Builds workflows, data loading scripts, SQL queries, reports, and REST endpoints that allow the financial systems to integrate with others and manage data within the system
  • Analyzes system logs to identify issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution
  • Point of contact for vendor support, logging issues and providing feedback to the vendor and to other stakeholders on issue status and next steps
  • Participate in on-call rotations, monitoring systems and managing incidents that occur
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users of financial systems, including resolving issues related to software functionality, data integrity, and user access or permissions.
  • Manages financial data within the systems, including data validation and integrations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Ensures financial systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within financial systems and works with stakeholders to prioritize and implement those improvements.
  • Assists with internal and external audits of financial systems and processes, including providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Creates and maintains documentation for financial systems, including user guides, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
What you should have:
  • 8+ years of experience in IT or similar software engineering environment
  • 5+ years of experience administering financial systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential
  • Must have deep understanding of financial jargon, processes, regulations, audits, and software
  • Must be able to use SQL and create and use REST endpoints
Nice to haves:
  • Salesforce administration experience, especially with CPQ/Revenue Cloud
  • Experience with Billing and Revenue tools like Salesforce Billing, Billing Platform, or Zuora Billing/Revenue
  • Experience with ERP systems like Intacct or NetSuite
  • An understanding of Agile methodologies, especially SCRUM
  • Able to translate finance terms to technical and non-technical resources, as well as explain technical terms and functionality to finance teams to help bridge communication across teams
The pay range for this position is $99,900 to $149,900 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
