Job Type Full-Time Education Bachelor's Degree Job Description Horrocks Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Engineer-in-Training Roadway to support various engineering projects throughout Utah. If you are interested in working on challenging projects to expand your engineering background, come join our team of engineering professionals. Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects that allow development of a diverse engineering skill set. **Expectations / Duties**:

* Technical design of a diverse group of roadway ventures including; freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails.

* Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects.

* Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects.

* Take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Job Requirements **Skills / Competencies**:

* Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management

* Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills

* A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goal

**Education and Experience:**

* Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university

* F.E. License/Engineer-in-Training Certification

* Zero to Five Years of experience in roadway design and plan preparation procedures and standards is preferred

* Knowledge and experience with Microstation, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering.
