Who We Need

Sabel Systems is looking for an innovative subject matter expert in the field of Marine Corps logistics and supply chain management. We have a rapidly growing team of digital acquisitionists, engineers, sustainment specialists, and distribution and transportation experts assisting the United States's Air Force, Space Force, and Marine Corps in enhancing its performance, productivity, and capability. And Sabel Systems wants to maintain its effectiveness in these areas for the Department of Defense and Commercial Industry. To achieve this, we are seeking highly skilled professionals who can dynamically advance and optimize client initiatives through ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. This position requires some onsite and telework activities in the National Capital Region (NCR).

What You'll Do

  • Authoring and staffing Marine Corps supply chain policy; coordinating the execution of supply chain management principles across the Fleet Marine Force; support the Marine Corps across all engagements related to supply chain management, policy, and sustainment with external agencies; and coordinating and staffing supply chain management, policy, and sustainment information across the Marine Corps.
  • Assist in developing drafts for action officers in a section covering multiple functional areas of supply management and communicating current and planned policy initiatives to the Marine Corps enterprise during annual supply symposiums.
  • Assist in developing Marine Corps Order 4400.201 "Management of Property in the Possession of the Marine Corps." This is a multi-year project that includes collapsing over 38 legacy Marine Corps Orders into a single publication. The document will be composed of 17 volumes requiring coordination and staffing with staff sections throughout the Marine Corps to fully develop. As of June 2020, 12 of the 17 volumes have been published. The remaining five volumes require contractor expertise and assistance to develop.
  • Provide support and recommendations as applicable as a subject matter expert and technical policy writer in the development of the following functional areas: the Consolidated Storage Program (CSP); additive manufacturing; retail supply management policy; the Physical Inventory Control Program; requisitioning and procurement; enterprise inventory control; financial liability investigations of property loss (FLIPL); intermediate-level supply management; disposing of Marine Corps assets to DLA-DS; and individual clothing, flags, and personal effects.
  • Provide support to the Marine Corps enterprise for supply policy clarifications and requested updates to Marine Corps directives.
  • Provide input and advice as an advisor and subject matter expert in Marine Corps supply policy during HQMC-led Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, and Operational Advisory Groups (OAGs). Current IPTs include: the equipment sourcing IPT to develop procedures to fill unit-level deficiencies for equipment shortfalls; the economic retention IPT to develop policy for retaining assets beyond their useful life; the CSP IPT to develop an enterprise solution for managing individual combat clothing and equipment, CBRNE assets, and soft walled shelters and camouflage screening; and various IPTs to develop guidance in support of the Marine Corps financial statement audit and business process reform.
  • Perform technical analysis to develop proposed recommendations and draft guidance to address National, DoD, and Marine Corps logistics chain requirements. Support will include:
  • Updating and revising Marine Corps logistics chain program policy guidance for review and decision by DC (I&L). The Contractor shall outline, draft, review, and edit Marine Corps Orders, MARADMINs, Marine Corps Bulletins (MCBul), and other correspondence.
  • Recommend strategies for development on courses of action for implementing Marine Corps logistics chain program strategies, policies, and requirements.
  • Provide input and advice on draft Marine Corps logistics chain program(s) policy guidance for review and decision by DC (I&L).
  • Research and develop specific materiel and sustainment topic areas for the logistics chain program to address and gain visibility throughout the Marine Corps, concerning the implementation of the logistics chain program(s).
  • Provide input and advice during final analysis on courses of action for implementing Marine Corps logistics chain program(s) strategies, policies, and requirements.
  • Organize, plan, and facilitate working groups on materiel and sustainment policy and doctrine.
Your Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree and 16+ year experience in DoD logistics/maintenance and/or information technology fields.
  • HQMC/enterprise level experience developing, staffing and adjudicating Marine Corps policies and procedures.
  • USMC Management of Military Materiel and Supply Chain Management sustainment experience (Military Occupational Specialty 3043, 3010 or 3002)
  • Experience working at USMC higher headquarters level, such as: HQMC, MARFORs, MEFs , LOGCOM, MARCORSYSCOM, CD&I, etc.
  • Mastery of preparing briefings and papers for General Officer level is desired as well as the speaking/articulating thoughts and ideas to the highest levels of leadership throughout the Marine Corps.
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (will be required by gov.); active Secret clearance is preferred
