Responsibilities

This role requires an analytical and organized thinker with a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP"). Additionally, this individual will have strong problem solving skills, demonstrate attention to detail, have solid interpersonal and communication abilities, be comfortable meeting deadlines, and recognize a sense of ownership for the role. This role will be reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining the corporate general ledger in accordance with GAAP, and preparing daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations;
  • Performing month-end close procedures;
  • Reconciling corporate banking transactions;
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements;
  • Preparing budget variance analysis;
  • Supporting the compilation of annual and periodic budget information;
  • Assisting in preparing responses to various queries and requests from internal/external auditors;
  • Producing clear and organized work papers that adequately support the Company's SEC filings and the internal/external audit process;
  • Assisting in the preparation, review and timely filing of reports required with the SEC, including reports on Form 10-Q and 10-K and other filings from time to time;
  • Assisting in maintaining and documenting compliance with internal control over financial reporting in accordance with SOX 404 standards;
  • Interacting and coordinating with personnel throughout the Company;
  • Researching and documenting the analysis of new accounting and reporting requirements as needed;
  • Performing special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience;
  • Exceptional organizational skills;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong technical accounting skills;
  • Ability to continuously exhibit attention to detail.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills are essential;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and deadline driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
