Responsibilities:

  • Lead the entire accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes. Provide training and development opportunities for the team, fostering a culture of exceeding expectations in line with GAAP and company policies.
  • Oversee cost accounting processes, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and provide timely, actionable insights for the business.
  • Manage due diligence, execute purchase accounting, and prepare reports and disclosures for potential acquisitions.
  • Implement high-quality review processes for journal entries, account reconciliations, SOX controls, and other necessary analyses to support balance sheets and business processes.
  • Drive continuous improvements in business processes by designing and implementing new technologies. Oversee the business requirements, reporting, and testing for all system changes impacting accounting.
  • Ensure SOX controls adequately address business and technology risks, maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring adherence to company policy.
  • Supervise the annual external audit and collaborate with internal audit to enhance financial processes and controls.
  • Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team, aligned with business growth.
  • Serve as a business partner, working cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to ensure operational success, develop business models, implement strategic initiatives, and support overall performance and growth. Provide insights into the impacts on the company's financial statements.
  • Handle other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Offer advice and input on growth initiatives, strategic planning, and M&A activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting; Masters Degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles.
  • Minimum of five years of experience, with a preference for cost accounting experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership, people management, and team-building abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Active CPA license.
