The Account Manager is responsible for promoting HMH products to our customers in North America/Permian Basin. The candidate will be the point of contact to support the sales organization and it will develop a detailed strategy to technically promote HMH to Drilling Contractors and Oil Companies in the region. The candidate will also maintain account responsibilities for assigned accounts in the NAM region.

Job Responsibilities
  • Expand HMH customer base in the Permian Basin
  • Attend customer meetings in the region
  • Establish client contacts
  • Contribute to local trade associations (attend meetings, join committee meetings)
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives for the region
  • Assist with developing proposals; may negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing.
  • Handles standardized products with pre-defined options requiring simple client advice.
  • Contributes to prices and conditions to have a certain degree of granularity.
  • Handles targeted clients
  • Expected to define customer approach autonomously
  • Handles Low - Medium - region size, stable region, established market presence
  • Responding to customer needs for quotes, coordinating response if a request is different from the standardized offers.
  • Discusses sales approach with sales leadership
  • Contributes to Salesforce for all new customer opportunities.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in sales, commercial operations, business development, application engineering (or any other role with direct contact with customers)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience dealing with Engineering teams within Drilling Contractors and/or Oil Companies
  • Experience with root cause analysis and strong issue resolution skills
  • Experience selling or working with customers on Pressure Control Equipment
  • Demonstrated inclusive behavior with success in leading or working in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated clear thinking with effective communication at all levels
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, internally and externally
