The recruiter will provide information and resources to applicants and current or former employees. The job of recruiter will include researching, developing, planning, evaluating, implementing, and maintaining programs and services in compliance with established guidelines, recruiting and hiring top applicants, retaining current employees, acting as a liaison with applicants, interns, different universities/colleges, and working with all Campus Directors and supervisors on staffing their vacancies. QUALIFICATIONS Education: • Minimum of 60 college credit hours; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, highly preferred Special Knowledge/Skills/Ability: • Maintains confidentiality • Multi-tasked oriented • Spelling, concepts of grammar, word processing/typing • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. • Detailed-oriented and working with detailed information/data • Reading, comprehension, and ability to perform basic mathematics • Adapting to changing work priorities • Communication with diverse groups and individuals • Working as part of a team Language Skills: o Bilingual (English/Spanish fluency) preferred. o Able to communicate with faculty, staff, and administrators in a courteous and professional manner Experience: o Two years of recruiting and office experience MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 1. Implements a recruitment program focused on attracting and retaining a high quality and diverse workforce. Collaborates closely with HR and central office staff, senior staff, and school leadership to meet current and future staffing and recruitment needs. 2. Manages software database relating to the recruitment and hiring process. 3. Responsible for developing, implementing, and updating job advertisements in appropriate media, including online, print, and job boards. 4. Works collaboratively to develop short and long-term recruitment and retention strategies to achieve required staffing levels to include instructional, non-instructional, and administrative. 5. Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices, teacher preparation program leadership and various agencies that assist in providing applicants to the schools. 6. Assists in creating and redefining company job descriptions. 7.Coordinates HR job fairs for district. Travelsand stays overnight in another location for recruitment job fairs, meetings, and college and university visits on a regular basis. 8. Collaborates with internal and external personnel (e.g., other administrators, public agencies, community members, auditors, etc.) to implement and/or maintain services, programs, and recruiting endeavors. 9. Compiles data and prepares reports to document recruitment/hiring activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, and/or providing supporting material for requested actions. 10. Assists in the development and manages collateral recruiting materials, including related information on the district’s website. 11. Assists in the development of a wide variety of written materials in both manual and electronic formats (e.g., job advertisements, brochures, pamphlets, etc.) to document activities, promoting Bob Hope Schools to interested parties. 12. Maintains manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., vacancy listings, job descriptions, applicant tracking, etc.) to provide accurate information in compliance with established guidelines. 13. Participates in and initiates meetings to present information that involves a range of issues and topics (e.g., recruitment, employment, hiring, etc.) as needed and/or assigned to develop recommendations and/or supporting other staff. 14. Responds to candidates (e.g., phone, email, letter) regarding job openings, those for pre-hire, and candidates not hired. 15. Responds to requests from the public seeking information about job vacancies and application and/or job status. 16. Initiates purchase order requisitions relating to company recruitment materials, advertising, personal travel, etc. 17. Responsible for preparing event materials for all recruiting events and replenishing recruiting supplies and marketing materials. 18. Responsible for miscellaneous copying, filing, typing, and answering/making phone calls. 19. Researches and screens viable candidates using a variety of recruiting methods including cold calling, resume searches, and contacting job applicants, etc. 20. Actively reviews applications and resumes continuing through the interviewing and hiring process. 21. Schedules and participates in interviews as assigned. 22. Conducts pre-screenings and contacts via telephone, utilizing online tools and other methods. 23. Maintains confidentiality. 24. Always exhibits a professional demeanor. Certification and Licensing 1. Tracks certification, testing, and permit status and communicate with teachers to ensure completion of certification requirements within established timelines. 2. Audits and maintains certification and licensing information of certified or licensed professionals, paraprofessionals, and auxiliary employees. 3. Enters and maintains data required of pre-kindergarten teachers in Ascender; collaborate with coordinator of public education information management system (P.E.I.M.S.) to ensure timely annual reporting. 4. Enters qualifications of certified and licensed staff into Ascender and runs reports as requested. Process related payroll changes in TalentEd. 5. Serves as resource person to management and employees on certification issues and other information relating to certifications and test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL). 6. Assists as needed to verify certification with the Texas State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC), universities, colleges, and education agencies in other states for candidates selected for hire (e.g., teachers, other educational candidates in a certified role); perform annual certification checks of all staff and as requested. 7. Researches and maintains up-to-date information on SBEC rules, certification requirements and processes, testing dates, etc. Other: 1. Performs other duties as assigned.
