We are seeking a Lead Technical Account to join our corporate team in Wilmington, DE. This is a hybrid role and our team works 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to our corporate site.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Assists in directing company implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements.

Acts as resource to major business unit and corporate initiatives as technical accounting expert.

Identify and initiate process improvement teams for functional productivity.

Develops and implements accounting policies and procedures to ensure external financial statements are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal management reports are consistent with established policies and procedures.

Point of contact for technical accounting related issues (SEC guidance, FASB Standards, etc.)

Coordinate the implementation efforts for new accounting standards and participate in the review of proposed standards

Provide technical accounting guidance to businesses for complex transactions

Interact with global controllership and independent public accountants on accounting policy matters

Support the compliance with our internal controls framework and addressing internal controls matters with both internal and external audit teams.

Coordinate audit requests with external auditors, internal auditors and compliance requirements

Work cross-functionally with other departments including Consolidations, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Business Finance, and Internal Audit

Point of contact throughout the Company for technical accounting and disclosure matters (SEC guidance, FASB Standards, etc.) such as pension accounting, acquisition and divestiture accounting, leases, revenue recognition, segment realignments, and other matters

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Your Qualification Profile:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. MBA is preferred

CPA is required for this role

Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting

Knowledge of IFRS a plus

6+ years of experience with Big 4 or industry related experience in an accounting policy role

Strong oral and written skills

Self-directed and accountable

Strong analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks

Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
