Payment Processing Representative

As a Payment Processing Representative, you would be responsible with answering in-bound calls from customers whose service has been turned off due to non-payment and then working with them through that situation the best that we can. That is why a successful candidate for this role would need to have unparalleled customer service and people skills, the ability to multi-task in a high-volume call center environment, as well as be able to ensure that each customer has the exceptional customer service experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide customer service regarding payment issues via phone/email to resolve connection issues by processing declined or returned payments.
Process customer payments and/or refunds when electronic systems are unable to fulfill customer requests or duplicate payments.
Process account credits and/or adjustments to aid customers posting payments or overpayments in their accounts.
Complete suspension and/or restoral of a customer's services upon reconciling their account discrepancies.
Communicate with the customer and manually activate services when errors arise.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts.
Work with past due customers to coordinate payment that is beneficial for them while keeping the company's bad debt risk top priority.
Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and determine reason for non-pay.
Work cross functionally with other departments to accelerate the payment process and remedy solutions.
Communicate courteously and promptly to customer inquiries in an efficient and timely fashion with assigned accounts.
All other duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or GED Required
Demonstrated experience working with difficult customer issues.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ensure all interactions are handled with quality and the customer experience in mind.
Demonstrated high level of professionalism via email, phone and in-person.
Proven ability to work under pressure and handle high stress environments.
Ensure high integrity and honesty while handle/processing payments.
Willingness to work as a team and independently.
