This position is responsible for cleaning, moving and maintaining vehicles while assisting the service department in various duties. This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 7:45 am - 5:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Detailer/Porter will report to the Production Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.Essential Job FunctionsDetail exterior and interior of vehicles up to company standards Maintain shop cleanlinessCommunicate with customers in a polite and professional manner Porter vehicles around the lot and to other locationsOther duties as assigned by Supervisor Minimum RequirementsMust be 18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalent Prior technical schooling or training related to the automotive field is preferred, but not requiredAn above average level of automotive and/or mechanical knowledgeValid driver's license and ability to pass a background checkPhysical RequirementsWalking/Standing for most of the workdayFrequent bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbingMust be able to lift up to 50lbsCharacteristics SoughtAbove average level of automotive and/or mechanical knowledgeGood communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and vendorsDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
