Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Disassembly Technician to join our team at D&S Automotive Inc. As a key member of our collision repair team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the thorough disassembly of vehicles to identify concealed damage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-scanning of vehicles to identify potential damage
  • Removal of upholstery, accessories, electrical/hydraulic window operating equipment, body panels, trim, and other parts as needed
  • Micro-bagging of all hardware and small parts
  • Building and organization of parts carts according to company standards
  • Taking photos of complex wire routing, component assembly, and trim/emblem location
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of automobiles is required
  • At least 1 year of body shop experience preferred
  • Proper tooling for the disassembly of vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
Preferred Characteristics

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Physical Requirements
  • Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds
  • Reaching above and below shoulder level
  • Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
  • May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion
  • May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust, and noise in the repair center
