Job Summary and Qualifications
This position is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the liver transplant process of the programs. Main responsibilities include managing a group of employees that deliver shared support services across the Transplant Program; establishing workflows/processes which are aligned with program policies; and managing objectives and key performance metrics.
Responsible for the daily operations and clinical resource for transplant evaluations, waitlist management and post-transplant care.
Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings, documents information and assumes accountability for decisions and actions.
Assists in the care coordination of the acutely ill transplant patient to facilitate communication with the transplant surgeon and other consultants as needed.
Monitors and evaluates daily productivity statistics in collaboration with the Director.
Create or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization and nursing standards.
Provides leadership and demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the delivery of safe, quality, transplant care for assigned departments on a 24- hour basis.
Ensures department's standard of practice, policies and procedures meet compliance with UNOS, OPTN, TJC, and CMS.
Makes procedural or process suggestions for achieving team goals or performing team functions; provides necessary resources or helps to remove obstacles to team accomplishments.
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 2 years in the field of transplant.
LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse.
BLS Required.
