WHO WE ARE:

We are an end-to-end Renewable Energy provider. We offer products to commercial and enterprise clients in EV Charging solutions, Fleet Electrification, Solar Microgrids, Energy storage, Hydroponic farming, and Rain Water/Grey Water collection systems. We have been experiencing tremendous growth in all these areas and operate under several government rebate programs that ensure a steady and reliable flow of revenues. Our company handles the entire flow of providing these products and services beginning with Sales, Provisioning, Design and Engineering, Contracting and Construction, Servicing and Maintenance.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is in-office, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Costa Mesa, CA. The Human Resources Director will develop, plan, and lead the Human Resources Department. This position provides leadership guidance and support to our business leaders as well as the HR teams and is responsible for the development and execution of engagement and retention strategies, annual objectives, and metrics that are aligned to support Zero Impact Energys' business success.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of human resource programs, policies, and strategies to meet the needs of the company for organizational effectiveness.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR practices with business needs.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere that fosters high-performance teamwork by modeling and setting expectations for effective communication and interpersonal practices.
Stay informed about regulations, adapting HR policies and practices accordingly to all states the organization holds employees.
Lead the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Develop effective sourcing strategies and foster relationships with educational institutions and professional organizations.
Oversee employee relations, addressing concerns, conflicts, and facilitating resolutions.
Conduct investigations and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies.
Implement and manage performance management systems to drive employee development and organizational success.
Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting performance goals.
Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the workforce.
Facilitate leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
Manage the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Ensure compliance with California wage and hour laws.
Stay current on changes in employment laws and regulations in California.
Ensure HR practices and policies comply with state and federal laws.
Leverage HR technology to streamline processes, enhance data analytics, and improve overall efficiency.

Managerial Responsibilities:

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations Payroll, HRIS, Learning Management (LMS), and/or talent management systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Background:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
Previous Director-level HR experience required
At least seven (7) years of human resource management experience is required.
Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Must have experience with COVID-19 HR Protocol
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
In-depth knowledge of California, Texas, and Arizona labor laws and regulations.
