Company Overview: Privately owned Construction company located in Orange County is looking to hire an HR Manager. Company is dedicated to fostering a positive work environment and empowering employees to succeed.

Role Summary: The HR Manager, plays a crucial role in supporting the company's objectives.

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. The job encompasses policy implementation, talent acquisition, compliance, employee benefits administration, and ensuring the workforce operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior leadership on workforce management and compliance with labor laws.
  • Uphold company Core Values in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and policies.
  • Address employee concerns and facilitate disciplinary actions with fairness and respect.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Partner with payroll for setup and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate employee separations and exit processes with attention to detail.
  • Provide support for leave requests, FMLA, and accommodation programs.
  • Identify and provide training opportunities for employee development.
  • Collaborate with Health and Safety Team on safety initiatives and compliance.
  • Recruit and Onboard new hires Conduct performance management and provide feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management or similar field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HR Manager, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
  • Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Attention to detail and good judgement
  • Proficiency in ERP software (Viewpoint Vista preferred) and MS Office Suite.

Location: Orange County - Costa Mesa, with branch offices in Anaheim, Concord, Woodinville WA
