Position Title: In Park Security
Department: Safety & Security
Reports To: Security Supervisor
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Summary of Duties:
Provide support to ensure the safety and security of the Guests, Team Members and property, while providing Guest Excellence and maintaining safe practices.
Job Responsibilities:
•Exhibit professional demeanor and model behaviors at all times
•Perform bag check per Standard Operating Procedures as the business dictates
•Maintain security of property access points
•Maintain constant attention and focus while monitoring property surveillance and/or while performing consistent rounds throughout the property to include, but not be limited to; Buildings, waterpark, dry park, parking lot, access roads and gates, back areas, etc.
•Enforce Guest Code of Conduct to include but not be limited to; Prohibiting outside food & beverage, proper attire, enforcement of a smoke-free facility and family atmosphere, line jumping, etc.
•Be a park representative resource and authoritative presence, to include inside shops and queue areas to deter theft and disruptive behaviors
•Primary responder to atypical situations during park hours; Guest to Guest confrontation, Employee to Guest confrontation, Employee to Employee confrontation, on-park altercations, Lost Parents, property incidents, theft allegations, threats, prohibited items use, etc.
•Provide support to the Manager on Duty in conducting the park sweep at the end of each operating day as needed
•Provide presence for the cash count at the end of each operating day as needed
•Execute emergency procedures, to include crowd control, as necessary
•Provide support to outside EMS and Security as needed
•Complete required documentation as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
•Escalate atypical situations to Manager on Duty
•Communicate via public address systems, radios and telephones
•Provide property support as needed
•Protect company assets through proper use of tools and equipment and the adherence to the standard of overall cleanliness and organization of work areas.
•Other duties as needed and/or assigned by Leadership.
Job Requirements:
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Must have NYS Security Guard License.
•Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to efficiently manage time and work without direct supervision.
•Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist and reach above shoulders.
•Ability to work in an environment with high levels of noise and vibrations.
•Must have ability to work and remain calm in high stress situations.
•Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
•Must have reliable transportation.
