Position:
Our Patient Care Coordinator are crucial to the success of our organization. Functioning in a patient facing role, the Patient Care Coordinator is accountable for delivering the first impression of the practice over the phone and in person. This role is largely customer service and public relations oriented. Working in a support capacity, a Patient Care Coordinators primary responsibility is managing patient logistics within the practice. They ensure a welcoming and calm environment for both patients and team members. In addition, the Patient Care Coordinator serves the Clinical team by providing patient-related support. As a member of the Operations team, the Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for seamless execution of office policies and procedures. This individual will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties which directly support patient care and practice personnel in the overall operation of the practice. He/she is expected to interpret and execute the duties and responsibilities of the job with only limited supervision and direction.
Responsibilities:
Deliver superior customer service to patients
Optimize provider time and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person, through email and over the phone
Deliver superior customer service to patients while also establishing rapport with new and existing patients in person, through email and over the phone
Create invoices and quotes, transacts and post payments and maintains patient balances and accounts
Manage the patient schedule to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Maintain detailed records within the companys patient management software pertaining to patient procedures, outcomes and other medical information
Scan and file confidential patient paperwork and information
Maintains appearance of the reception area and common areas. Responsible for stocking products on displays and office supplies
Other administrative and support duties to the Operations and Sales teams as assigned
Qualifications:
1-3+ years of customer service experience
1-3+ years of sales and/or sales support experience
Friendly and energetic attitude with great interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to be a self-starter, goal, detail and team oriented and solution oriented
Well-organized with effective time and workload/activity-management skills
Self-directed, ability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple assignments without direct supervision. Ability to work collaboratively with and through other people
