Who We're Looking For
The Technical Product Manager will lead the technical evolution for one or multiple of Syniverse's products. In this role you will serve as the customer proxy and liaison between product management and the agile teams you serve. Your work will enable Syniverse to be positioned best-in-class for all number portability needs that our customers have across the world.
The TPM will ensure timely delivery of our platform evolution milestones and work closely with Commercial Product Managers leading market facing responsibilities, engineering & development teams, and operations. This role also acts as the primary technical product management interface with vendors, partners, and customers. This role will solicit input from multiple stakeholders like architecture, product management, security, customer facing teams, operations and others, to effectively maintain the backlog their area of responsibility.

Some of What You'll Do

  • Act as the Product Management lead for internal development teams, including responsibilities such as platform roadmap definition, feature prioritization, requirements engineering, etc.
  • Translate requirements and desires into a prioritized roadmap
  • Define strategy for assigned product(s) for customers in technical terms to fulfill market needs, beyond just point product features.
  • Orchestrate as a PM - Research & Planning, Design, Implement & Test, and Release, with an emphasis on Implement & Test and Release.
  • Partner with Commercial Product Managers & Technical Account Managers to execute on bespoke solutions for major customers.
  • Manage Product lifecycles; Work closely with the market facing Product Manager to translate and manage features, needs, requirements to completion and launch (or sunsetting products)
  • Own product backlog. Define, prioritize and accept stories; represent the voice of the business while working with the team to minimize technical debt and providing business value.
  • Provide strong communication and documentation on a regular basis.
  • Create and promote appropriate techno-commercial knowledge to sales & sales supporting teams including materials for RFP-support, customer technical reviews etc.
  • Lead with a product mindset to set goals and measure success.
  • Grow existing number portability products, their KPI's and total number customers.
  • Prioritize what to build and deliver with other competing resource needs.
  • Ensure features are built in a cohesive, well-designed way that solve for customer needs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management required
  • Project management experience
  • Customer oriented attitude with focus and dedication to results
  • Self-sufficient in multi-tasking assignments with attention to details
  • Superior financial and analytical skills required
  • Understanding of product and software development process required
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills
  • Excellent team player with strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Experience in the Number Portability space desired
  • Agile software development background desired
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience required
