Job Description
Summary/ Objective:
District Managers are responsible for designated stores and their performance. The primary role of a District Manager is to set clear expectations for General Managers and hold them accountable for meeting those expectations. They must also ensure that General Managers are holding their team members accountable for meeting the restaurant's expectations.
Responsibilities:
Supervise the operations of 4–6 locations.
Create and maintain a positive people-first culture in all restaurants.
Perform the duties and responsibilities of all positions at the restaurant and train other managers and hourly employees.
Regularly work 50+ hours per week with a minimum of 35 hours in-store expected. Travel between stores is required.
Communicate with management, hourly employees, and customers, providing positive feedback and promoting a positive restaurant image and employee morale.
Maintain communication with General Managers on the quality of operations.
Provide counsel on improving operational performance and support General Managers in team and individual development.
Review the P&L of each restaurant in the division and identify potential/present problems.
Conduct regular on-site evaluations and audits to ensure guest satisfaction.
Supervise management performance evaluations and oversee the selection and onboarding of new managers.
Review administrative tasks, act as a liaison between field, Home Office, and support departments.
Ensure restaurant equipment is well-maintained and Serv-Safe Certifications are issued when needed.
Lead the implementation of operations initiatives and maintain safe working conditions.
Safeguard Company assets, including funds, equipment, and the facility.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
1-3 years of Jersey Mike's Subs experience or 5 years of QSR experience.
Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler.
Valid driver's license.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication with all levels of management.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
