Purpose of Role: The role is driving the Divisions Operational Performance Excellence through the adaption of Lean and Continuous Improvement (LCI) practices to create a sustaining culture which delivers year on year operational performance improvement.

Accountable for driving acceleration of Weir Integrating Network System (WINS) to achieve top quartile sustainable business results across the Region or Value Stream, and building capability in business critical WINS standards across the regional sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify market trends, customer behavior, and competition.
  • Market Updates: Provide regular updates on market conditions, emerging opportunities, threats, and industry developments.
  • Sales Forecast Development: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline analysis.
  • Collaboration with Sales Leadership: Collaborate with sales leadership to understand their needs and create accurate forecasts aligned with their goals.
  • Utilization of Sales Tools: Utilize Salesforce and other relevant tools to track, analyze, and report on sales performance and pipeline activity.
  • Continuous Sales Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase effectiveness.
  • Expertise in Supply Chain Software: Serve as a subject matter expert on Kinaxis or similar supply chain management software, providing guidance on demand planning and inventory optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams such as finance, marketing, supply chain, and operations to align sales forecasts with broader company objectives.
  • Senior Leadership Presentation: Present sales forecasts, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, guiding strategic decision-making processes.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of market analysis techniques, including market research, segmentation, and trend analysis.
  • Experience with Kinaxis or other supply chain management software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey sales forecasts and recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales forecasting or related experience.
  • Knowledge of heavy industry products and solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
